If you could only choose some of your fruits and vegetables to be organic, which ones would you pick? It’s a no-brainer that produce with high levels of pesticides are bad for your health, so which ones should you keep an eye out for in particular?
1) Strawberries 士多啤梨
Strawberries topped the 2016 list of foods that were contaminated with the most pesticides. According to the Environmental Working Group, there are 300 pounds of pesticides applied to each acre of strawberries! So it’s a good idea to buy them from an organic source.
2) Apples 蘋果
Full of essential vitamins and minerals, apples are the perfect healthy snack for your young ones. The healthy carbohydrates, boron, and vitamin C (to name a few) will keep your child healthy and strong!
3) Nectarines 蜜桃
Stock up on nectarines, as they are a great source of vitamin C, vitamin E, and dietary fibre. This potassium-rich fruit will also help balance sodium levels from other salty food consumption!
4) Peaches 桃子
A good source of vitamin C, providing small quantities of other vitamins and minerals, especially potassium. A brilliant source of dietary fibre and beta carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A! Why not grab a peach or two?
5) Celery 芹菜
Celery is a good source of folate. All you pregnant mama’s take note, there is folate in celery (which helps prevent birth defects!). A good source of Vitamin C, A, and K, celery has the perfect balance of potassium and sodium. The potassium also helps to maintain good blood pressure.
